Join us on World Day for Animals in Laboratories to call for a cruelty free EU
Across Europe, millions of animals are used in science each year in tests that frequently inflict suffering, which can be severe, but seldom deliver on their main promise, which is better health for humans. They include mice, fish, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs and monkeys.
Cruelty Free Europe is hosting a day of protest urging the European Commission to do the following:
1. Protect and strengthen the cosmetics animal testing ban
Despite the European Union’s ban, animals are once again dying for ingredients used in cosmetics in Europe.
2. Transform EU chemicals regulation
As Europe reviews its chemicals management laws, it should commit to a system based on animal-free science to ensure human health and the environment are protected.
3. Modernise science in the EU.
Commit to a roadmap to speed up and end to all animal testing.
